Tell the people who are you and where you from. 

I go by the Name StepDaddICold I’m straight off the southside of Raleigh NC.

I gotta ask, where did you get your name from?

My name was PGF ColdHeart but the Label changed my name because they wanted me to have my own name. I'm still signed to PGF, they just changed it to StedDaddICold. 

That's wassup, I ask cause your name different fasure. How long you been doing music? And how did you get into the music scene?

I only been doing music for bout a year since I’ve been home from prison, I did 7years on a murder charge I came home doing party promo and bringing rappers to the city, the mainstream artists was just rocking with me until PGFnuk gave me a shot and signed me. 

Okay that's lit! You came home and did your thing. Would you make this a career?

Hell yeah, this is my career this what I get paid to do.

What made you take it seriously?

I started taking it serious when I got my first rap check and I seen how powerful my music was, seeing my fans sing along to what I came up with in my head is an amazing feeling. 

If it’s one thing you could change in this industry, what would it be?

One thing I would change in the industry is the gate keeping a lot of these Artist that have made it do. I wouldn’t keep no sauce away from the next person tryna get on if I can help imma do that shit.

That's how I am. I never understood how people could get on and just not wanna help others. I think it just in some people to have that helping soul like us. But tell me, how is the music scene in your city? Anything different compared to other places you’ve been or seen?

The music scene in my city ain’t really talking bout nun you got ya artist like Toosie, Jassclutch, Sunny Tweeze, 730joe and Southside Heat, and even myself of course but out of us we really putting on for the city I moved to The A and everybody out here tryna Persue the same thing you want. It makes you go harder. 

I can say I agree with you on the Atlanta part. I'm back and forth a lot and I too noticed we allll down there chasing the same thing. It's so much talent in the A. Who is your top artist right now?

My top artists right now is between Huncho and YBTFatt and Sexy Redd. 

It's so crazy, Sexy Redd got both sides, meaning the girls and guys on her team right now. I love to see it. Do you think music has changed your life? If so, how?

Music has definitely impacted my life … a lot of people know me now in different states I can feed my family I ain’t got to be on the block like back in the day life’s good.

What do you do outside of the music scene? 

Outside of music, imma father to my kids and I own a truck business and plan on having a lot more business adventures. 

That's wassup. If you could have a conversation with your younger self, what would you tell yourself? 

I’d tell my younger self "Aye man everything that you went through, progressed through, it was worth it. The prison time, everything they said about me at my murder trial, the loss friends, all that had to happen in order for me to get to where I’m at today."

Something people don’t know about you. 

Something people don’t know about me is that I like to play chess man.
