Heyyy yall Ace back with another one! Today I got my girlllll from Mississippi. It's so crazy cause whole time I thought you was from Alabama babyyyy. But I'm excited to hear your story. Yall know the drill let's get to it. I got the drinks you grab ya smokes, and we not talking them blacks.

Okay mama's tell the people who are you and where you from.

I am Young Tunk. A very hot inspiring upcoming artist out of Meridian, Mississippi.

I need to go to Mississippi, one place I would love to check out. Really because of the talent there. How did you get into the music scene?

I got into the music scene because I had been doing music since I was young. I used to literally write raps with my siblings and rehearse them. My first time actually stepping in a studio to record was in 2015. Over the years I've been very consistent. I honestly just start networking, traveling, and over time learning from my own experience.

Would you make this a career?

Yes. I definitely will. It’s my true passion. It’s been a dream of mines since a kid. I am a jack of all trades, but this is definitely my main focus.

Remind me of myself, "Jack of All Trades". So, what made you take it seriously?

Well, it has always been my dream. I start taking it serious when I start seeing how talented I’ve always been. Plus, the hate/love I got when I picked up the mic.  It’s just I use to care so much about other’s opinions, and I got distracted from it a lot. Now I’m on the gas and not letting up because can’t nobody stop what’s for me but me. Also, I love how I inspire others by them just seeing me go after my dreams and where I came from. People remind me all the time. I’m inspiring them and how talented I am. That’s why I just stay focus. Yea it’s music but behind it is purpose. I been grinding so much. I won’t give up. My turn coming real soon.

I love to see it! If it’s one thing you could change in this industry, what would it be?

It would definitely be about connecting off character, integrity, and being genuine people over popularity any day. Meaning like I'm not connecting with then off the strength of status, clout, etc. What's their true character? Are they really good people? Do they sit around and hate and gossip about others? How do they treat people? Are they twofaced? I watch all that, I will not engage.

How is the music scene in your city? Anything different compared to other places you’ve been or seen?

The scene here in Meridian. We have a few artists uprising, but everyone is having to get away to pursue for real. It’s not opportunities/shows here like the places I travel to network and collaborate. Also, there is not much support here at all. I get way more support from my connections I make outside of my city. The outside support way more.

Who is your top artist right now?

My top artist right now would be Sexy Red. I love seeing women win. I love seeing people turn hitting cause I know mines next. She is receiving many blessings. I love that for her.

You know at first, I wasn't feeling Sexy, but she grew on me. I really like her, her confidence and how she raw she is. She don't do too much and doesn't care about what people think of her. I see that in you as well. I love that. Do you think music has changed your life? If so, how?

Yes, it changed my life because it start helping me heal by venting out things in my songs.  Also, it helps me make connections with others who are like me and support me in ways to make my dreams come alive. It brought more envy. I been most hated but admired my whole life.

What do you do outside of the music scene?

Outside of music I am a hairstylist, a single mom, I bake cakes, I’m a motivational speaker and I sell items like lashes, hair, clothes, etc.

What would you tell your younger self?

I would tell my younger self. I’ve healed for me and you. Now go live and be free from the memories that tried to keep you from growing into the star you’ve always known deep within. We’ve knocked out a lot of goals we’re almost there. We steady overcoming. We’ve come too far from where we started from. God plans.

Something people don’t know about you.

That I am great with connecting with people but I’m really an introvert forreal.

You dropping anything soon?

Yes, I will definitely be dropping a tape before the year is out.
