Today I have the pleasure of interviewing who I know as Kash but you all may know as Spade TV. This is going to be an interesting one as this man wears many hats. I hope you artists out there are paying attention cause you could learn a lot from him and if you tap in he may have the resources you need. 

Who are you? Tell us where you from. 

Kwanzaa Spears aka Spade, originally from Pine Bluff, Arkansas.

Where do you think you fall in the music business? 

I think I’m one of the more influential figures as far as blogging & promotion goes.

How did you get into blogging?

I started posted random music opinions on my personal Facebook account & decided to make a blog page. 

Is this a career for you?

Yes, it’s definitely a career, I don’t have a job. 

What did you do before this?

Before blogging, I worked as a property manager at apartments. 

If it’s one thing you could change in this industry, what would it be? 

If I could change one thing about the music industry, it would be the distribution of money/wealth for artists. Only about 50 artists makeup 95% of the revenue & it should be more even given that there are thousands of artists. 

Do you feel like the blogger's scene competitive where you from?

The blogging scene in Arkansas is not competitive but in Texas where I live now, it’s very competitive. I think Texas is the #1 location for hip hop blogs right now. But we’re not competing against each other; there’s a place for everyone. 

Who is your top artists right now?

My favorite artists right now are Rod Wave & J.I.D ; my favorite upcoming/less-known artists are LG Malique & Jay Gudda. 

Has being a blogger changed your life? If so, how?

Blogging has changed my life in that I’m able to provide for my family & I'm able to help artists. 

What do you do on your free time?

On my free time I watch Arkansas Razorback sports, workout & sleep. 

What would you tell your younger self? 

I would tell my younger self; everybody isn’t your friend & don’t grow up too fast. 

What's something people don’t know about you. 

I’m a Wedding DJ as well. 

What’s a fun fact about you?

My name Kwanzaa is Swahili & means First Fruit
