Who are you? Tell us where you from.
My name is Blu , goes by Blu boii, I’m from Shreveport la, I’m a father, artist, businessman also even some say black sheep.
How did you get into the music scene?
I got into music at 7, my ma actually kind of push that on me cause her passion with music.
Would you make this a career?
I can actually say I can make music a career cause it’s easy to me, I freestyle all my songs like the beats speak to me in a way, plus it’s like my escape place, I would say therapy.
What made you take it seriously?
It became more of a therapy to me; music was there when no one else was tbh.
If it’s one thing you could change in this what would it be?
I would bring all my loved ones back, far as pain, struggle etc I wouldn’t change it all made me who I am.
How is the music scene in your city? Anything different compared to other places you’ve been or seen?
Can’t really say how it is in my city, I move to Dallas, felt more opportunities, but I can say personally great artist out there, they just don’t get the love they deserve in my opinion.
Who is your top artist right now?
Kevin Gates, Boosie, Future, J Cole, alot more tbh.
Has music changed your life? If so, how?
I say I’m ways it did help me get threw darkest times so it kinda saved me, from depression etc.
What do you do outside of the music scene?
Outside of music I either with my daughter or learning new investment l’s, stocks, REALESTATE, even starting transportation business
What would you tell your younger self?
My younger self I would of said, it’s ok to say no, you can’t save everybody and stop tryna see you in others, no one heart is the same..
Something people don’t know about you.
I randomly donate around neighborhood I stay n not for social media purpose, I coach lil league football and also had scholarships in football and basketball I lost from taking a family member charge, can’t say name or why.
You dropping anything soon?
And yes, at the moment working on two EPs and a lot more visual podcast etc, gotta stay tuned to the rest. Working with some big artists too.
