Who are you? Tell us where you from. 

Christian Martin formally known as STANKFACEBEATS I come from the south side of Richmond Virginia 

How did you get into the music scene?

I got into the music when I was 10 when I played the saxophone for middle school band, I didn’t get into it officially until I had a studio session at verify sounds in Richmond with a artist called big Money Nell 

Would you make this a career?

I would make music a career due to the fact that I would be making a living off of expressing my inner emotions and thoughts through music as well as building genuine relationships and connections. 

What made you take it seriously?

What made me be serious about music is when my mother died when I was 20, she was the first person to give me a computer and keyboard for Christmas when I was 12 to start making beats.

If it’s one thing you could change in this, what would it be?

In All honestly the one thing I would change in music scene is how artists charge producers for beat placements 

How is the music scene in your city? Anything different compared to other places you’ve been or seen?

The music scene in Richmond is Boomin right now when I came in the scene in 2020 there was some motion that was under the table but in the past 3 years we’ve had a lot of that motion spill out into the community with Richmond artist getting features with industry artists, as well as having local shops in the Richmond are open up to help this generation of artists and musicians prosper like ChargedUp store and The MsqShop

Who is your top artist right now?

I can’t have one top artist, but my fav right now is Burtallwyld. 

Has music changed your life? If so, how?

Music has changed my life incredibly by allowing me to connect and network with people I normally wouldn’t be due to traveling also music has given me a second income by doing that it has helped me grow mentally about business aspects of music. 

What do you do outside of the music scene? 

Outside of music I am an industrial mechanic for a company in Richmond. 

What would you tell your younger self? 

I would tell my younger self to never take a break from making beats like I did and to always take opportunities that arise.

Something people don’t know about you. 

Usually, what people don’t know about me is I make beats lol

I currently have a producer album “Twitter Backrooms” out now on all platforms.
