Who are you? Tell us where you from. 

My Name Joshua Tyriq Ford but my stage name is “DesignerDon”. I am from Augusta, Georgia born and raised, and I was Born November 18th, 2001.

How did you get into the music scene?

Ironically, I got into music because of my mom when I was a kid. She knew a couple popping engineers and she let me record my first song at 5 years old. Then after that I wanted to become a basketball player all the way until I graduated high school. Then my friends at the time was already rapping so they convince me to start rapping and bought a studio session for me for my birthday on November 16th, 2019, and ever since then I fell in love with it and said this what I wanna do for the rest of my life.

Would you make this a career?

Most definitely. It’s nothing else in this world I’d rather do. I wanna be the best at it, I wanna go down as one of the greatest of all time. I want my voice heard by billions.

What made you take it seriously?

Really cause off the fact how much music can move people. It’s also life changing. I know for a fact that I just want people to feel me when I drop my music. That’s all i care about is the feeling. I take it serious for the people that need to hear my voice one day.

If it’s one thing you could change in this, what would it be?

I wish it wasn’t so rigged. I wish the real God given talent prevailed and not somebody who a lot of people in this world are better than, but they super famous cause higher-ups rigged the system for them. I don’t respect that.

How is the music scene in your city? Anything different compared to other places you’ve been or seen?

It’s very crab in the bucket type city. They only rock with you when everybody else do. We gotta few rappers that got on from here and that’s a blessing. I’m proud to say I’m one of the most accomplished artist from this city.

Has music changed your life? If so, how?

It changed my life cause i got something that keep me sane. It’s a coping mechanism for real, and so many people know the sound of my voice is crazy to me. I love going out in public and getting recognized for my music

What do you do outside of the music scene? 

I don’t nothing for real outside of this. Not even joking. Everything I do is for the music. So, the TikTok's and all that. That’s just to build my name up. I don’t care about nothing else really. I like basketball though.

What would you tell your younger self? 

Lift your head up boy and you was right about everything that you said was gone happen. You was right when folks thought you was crazy, you was right. Keep going. I’m a know if you didn’t or not.

Something people don’t know about you. 

I’ve been in 3 movies before, so I can act. Movies were called Saving Zoe, One heart, and Destroyed. I also have a song with NBA YoungBoy from 2 years ago.
