I had the chance to get up with Tha6Kid who some may also know as 6ixdior. He is from Roanoke Rapids, NC. Oh, how we love North Carolina, well at least I do. What's not to love about the Carolinas? Why is music important to you?

Music helps me express myself and helps me speak for others who have a similar story even if I know them or don't know them.

When did you start rapping?

I started rapping when I was about 6 then I stopped and started back rapping in 2021.

Why did you stop rapping?

I stopped because I started playing sports.

If it's one thing you could change as an artist what would it be?

I want to change people's lives. I want to be big to the point where people are motivated by what I do and say, hopefully that allows them to get some money, chase their dreams and stay out of trouble.

What do you do outside of your music career?

I hoop, I play video games, and I'm currently in college.

Who is your top artist(s) right now?

Lil Baby because he is real relatable for me.

Has music changed your life? If so, how?

Music has helped my mental health because at times when I was at my lowest, I would just turn on a beat and express whatever I'm feeling.

What made you take music serious?

Quarantine allowed me to start music as a hobby. Then I got better and better, I started going to the studio. Dropped my first song and I felt like I could really do something with it so I kept at it.

What's something people don't know about Tha6ixkid?

I want to be in movies more then I want to rap.

How long have you wanted to be in movies? Why actor over rapper?

All my life and because I watched people like 50 cent and Ice Cube go from music to movies and that was always something I was motivated by.
